Vegan Mango Sunburger Stir Fry Recipe

One of the biggest questions people ask me, "Isn't it expensive to eat healthy?"

Certainly NOT!

In fact, eating healthy is much CHEAPER than eating junk food.  If you eat old fashioned oats or steel cut oats in the morning topped with a little fruit, quinoa, millet, brown rice, yams or other grains topped with some fruit, that is a very inexpensive breakfast. Lunch can be a simple salad with homemade dressing topped with sunburgers or beans.  Dinner can be baked potatoes, salad, stir fry, brown rice, simple whole foods.

It is when you try and buy 'fancy' prepared food that your grocery bill sky-rockets.  Packaged foods will never be as healthy as whole foods prepared at home.  If you can minimize the packaged foods your grocery bill will be much lower. I created some delicious, very simple meals to show you just how easy it is it eat healthy AND cheap.

Mango Stir Fry Recipe

This mango stir fry recipe was a HUGE hit with my family.  It is simple, very quick and delicious!  I am not a fan of most sweet and sour style Asian recipes because they are SO sugary it tastes like dessert to me.  This mango stir fry recipe is delicious with just a hint of sweet.

These dinners are awesome. I'm so glad there is someone smart enough out there to turn delicious traditional recipes into healthy recipes! I'm so grateful to be able to look on this website, and have a list of healthy things to make for my family! It has changed my life for the better every day. These dinners taste fabulous, I wouldn't change a thing about them!

Am wondering what the miso does in this recipe and if it's needed (I don't have any, but really want to make this)

I use light or dark miso instead of bullion, it gives a rich, salty brothy flavor to soups, stocks and burgers. Hopefully that helps.

I made the Mexian Bowls for dinner last night! They were really good- even my picky son ate them! I loved how all of the flavors came together.

I made a few changes. I doubled the recipe and added one chicken breast (my family still expects to see a little meat with dinner) and I didn't have carrot juice so I used tomato instead and omitted the salt. I'll definitely make this again! Thanks for sharing!!

you are a genius! this is just my kind of food, I have been looking for good, vegan food without all the frying in oil, also that my kids would like too. just made the hamburger, pasta, cheese sauce combo, sooo yummy! I put a bit of sauerkraut and half a lemon juiced into the cheese sauce for extra kick, came out amazing- thanks for the great recipes-
