Gluten Free Raspberry vanilla waffle recipe and the lost recipe.......

Gluten free Buckwheat Raspberry Vanilla Waffle Recipe

These waffles are gluten free and are sweetened with dates, they are the healthiest waffles you will ever make!  I have been trying to come up with delicious waffle recipe creations that are also healthy.  Buckwheat is actually not a grain, it is a seed, it does not contain gluten and is a nutrient packed ingredient that really adds a delicious flavor to these gluten free waffles.

The lost photo for Black Bean Burritos

A good tip to remember:  Always make sure you TURN YOUR CAMERA OFF when you are done using it or you  might miss a perfect photo opportunity due to a dead battery.

I must confess that I made delicious burritos with homemade tortillas, I had the burrito all dressed up with tofu sour cream, homemade guacamole, homemade salsa and it was photo ready......I pulled out the camera and the battery was dead....ugh.

I'm sorry that I didn't get a photo, but trust me the burritos were delicious.
Hopefully  the free raspberry vanilla waffle recipe will make up for my mistake :-D

Stay tuned for more recipes that will be included in the new recipe book.

Grilled tofu recipe.... Not Quite Ready for Publication...but delicious!

New Test Recipe:
Grilled Tofu

My husband LOVED this marinated Grilled tofu, however I didn't feel that it was quite cookbook ready.
It was marinated in veggie broth, carrot juice, garlic, tamari, cashew, parsley with other spices

It turned out good, but in this recipe book there will only be AMAZING recipes.  I will still be working on this one and there will be a grilled tofu recipe in the book it will just be more fabulous than this one.
I wanted to show you a photo of what I have been working on....Back to the drawing board for this one.

If you have any suggestions for grilled tofu flavors you would like to see please post a comment and I will create recipes.  If you would like mexican cilantro lime, BBQ grilled tofu, Jerk tofu etc....  I am trying to decide what flavors of grilled tofu to create so suggestions would be wonderful!

Egg free crepe recipe and the consequences of not writing down recipe creations....

Amazing egg free Crepe Recipe
AKA Roll Up Pancake recipe

I finally perfected my egg free crepe recipe, it took several test recipes before I finally got it right.  My son requested "Roll Up Pancakes"

Looking for The Peaceful Kitchen Recipes

or crepes for his birthday breakfast so I decided to take this opportunity to try to make the recipe 'cookbook' worthy and I believe this time I succeeded.  These crepes were rolled up with delicious blackberry jam.

TIPS For this Recipe:

1.  If you want very thin crepes that will roll easily you need to shake the pan back and forth after pouring in the batter to thin it out nicely.

2. Keep the stove at medium heat and let the pan warm up well before cooking. If the pan gets to hot they will burn or get overly browned before they are finished cooking in the middle.

Another Lesson Learned........

The Lost recipe for Chocolate Carmel Cookie Bars

Sadly, I created a Delicious recipe for bars that had a cookie bottom with chopped pecan and coconut flakes, topped with a delicious carmel sauce, topped again with cookie dough and then layered with a lot of dairy free chocolate chips!  It was FABULOUS~!

Unfortunately I did NOT write down the recipe and now I am going to have to try and recreate the recipe.  I think I can still improve on what I did last time but they were mighty good the way I had made them.

Moral to the story:  ALWAYS write down your recipe creations, you never know if it is going to turn out amazing or not so don't risk it.

The First Re-creation of an All American Favorite...Pizza Recipe!

All American Favorite Recipe PIZZA....gone healthy!

Looking for The Peaceful Kitchen Recipes:

This was a HUGE hit with my family. I made a beautiful Deep Dish Whole Wheat Crust for the pizza! It takes a little bit of planning but WOW, it is SO worth it. This is what the pizza looked like a gourmet restaurant pizza.

Best Deep Dish Pizza Crust Recipe

I am planning to keep cranking out the recipes, some of the recipes will be posted on the blog so stay tuned. All recipes will be coming out in a new cookbook at the end of the year.

Here is the pizza all cooked with my all purpose cheese sauce on top! YUMMY.

This pizza has onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, broccoli, and sunburgers as toppings. Then I made my cheese sauce to put on top and popped it in the oven for 30 minutes. The crust turned out fabulous, it was soft and very thick. I prefer deep dish pizza so if you like thin crispy crust this would not be the recipe for you.

The cheese sauce on the pizza can be used for just about anything. My family likes it over steamed veggies, sandwiches, you name it! The best part about the cheese sauce: It is made from vegetables!! It is delicious and tastes good on pasta too.

Stay tuned for the next upcoming favorite recipe......

Peaceful Kitchen latest updates

The Peaceful Kitchen has been on vacation!

We have moved 4 times in the past year and things have been very crazy. I have still been busy in the kitchen, I just haven't been blogging about it lately!

I am making a commitment today to begin re-creating America's favorite recipes making them healthy, vegan and DELICIOUS!

Over the next year I will be remaking famous recipes into delicious vegan versions and they will be published in my upcoming cookbook.

My most recent creations were:

Vegan Cannelloni
My dad called me at 9:30 at night after he had eaten my cannelloni and said it was AMAZING and if he had the money he would put up the money for me to open a restaurant. YEAH, it's that good!!!
Pictures to come soon!

Vegan Chocolate Chocolate Chip Mint Cookies
Another BIG hit with my extended family!! They were rich and chocolatey and did not contain ANY oil at all!
I have mastered the art of oil-free cookies and they are every bit as good as their fattening counterparts.

New Cookbook coming soon!!
For all my big fans, I will be publishing a cookbook at the end of this year when I finish my year of re-creating America's favorite recipes.

Some of you have asked what happened to The Peaceful Kitchen Website, I could no longer afford to keep the website online. In the next couple of months I will get the website back up and running so you can purchase recipe collections again. Thank you so much for all of your support.

Fathers day chocolate waffle recipe, chocolate chip cookie bars and vegan chicken fried steak

The Latest Kitchen recipe Creations

We just moved across the country for the second time in one year and I have had a difficult time keeping up with the Peaceful Kitchen Blog. We also just opened a new health and fitness center so things have been very busy, but now that things have settled down I plan to keep up on the blog for all my customers and fans of The Peaceful Kitchen.

A lot of delicious food has been created over the past couple of months and I want to show you what you can expect in the upcoming recipe collections.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

I have been mastering oil free baking over the last 6 months. It has taken awhile to mimic the crispy exterior and chewy interior of fatty baked goods without any oil. I have finally figured out how to do it and the result has been amazing.

I have had numerous requests for my cookies and the recipes for them. You will be thrilled with these new recipes and healthier as well.

Vegan Chicken Fried Steak

A couple of months ago, a family party was being held at my home and I was asked to cook the meal for everyone. The only vegans attending would be my immediate family.

I tried to come up with a meal that everyone would enjoy. We do not really eat meat substitutes but I knew that non-vegans would prefer to have a familiar food.

I do not have many recipes for meat substitutes so I decided to create my brothers favorite meal, chicken fried steak. It was quite a process, it is not an easy recipe but the result was fabulous!!!

Everyone raved over the dinner, my father even said if he had the money he would pay for me to open a restaurant! That is high praise coming from him.  Recipe will be in the upcoming recipe book!

Chocolate Waffles with Bananas and Chocolate Sauce

Fathers Day Special

I don't recommend eating this for breakfast. In fact it is a far cry from the fruit or green smoothies that I have every morning. But for my chocolate loving husband I thought this would be the perfect 'breakfast in bed' food for fathers day.
These waffles were very moist and soft with a hint of chocolate flavor. My husband loved them, the kids loved them as well. This was one day in the year where they got dessert for breakfast.

-->
Father's Day Special Chocolate Waffles
I created this recipe for my chocolate loving husband on Father's Day.   The kids LOVED the waffles and my husband enjoyed them as well, although they really are more of a dessert than a breakfast.  Enjoy!

Serving options:
1/2 c. cocoa with 1/2  c. maple syrup combine and whisk until chocolate sauce is smooth.  Pour over waffles.
Sliced banana
Sliced strawberries
Peanut butter
raspberries

Raw Key Lime Pie

This recipe was created on request from a fan of The Peaceful Kitchen and a past student of mine. The color was a very light green which could easily be remedied with a touch of vitamineral green or Boku. This not my typical low fat, oil free type recipe but it was decadent and rich.

This is a great recipe that is more in line with my culinary training. I'm sure the raw fooders in my fan base will really enjoy this delicious recipe. The crust is very reminiscent of a typical pastry crust. Enjoy!!

-->

That is a small sampling of the recipes coming up in the new recipe collections. In the next several weeks I will be posting the June, July and August recipe collections.

Mexican Salad created after my favorite Mexican fast food restaurant

I created some exciting recipes for my birthday dinner in April. Since January I had been craving my favorite dessert from my unhealthy college days "Burnt Almond Fudge Pie with Caramel topping."

I planned the menu for my birthday dinner and it was a big hit! My sister took the photos of the food for me so I could share them with you.

The Mexican Salad contains:

Creamy Cilantro Dressing

Sweet Pulled Seitan

Black Beans w/ sauteed garlic, onion and spices

Mexican Rice
topped with tofu sour cream, guacamole and salsa!

These recipes will be coming out in the May/June recipe collection and they are not to be missed, they are AMAZING replicas of the famous mexican restaurant!!

Burnt Almond Fudge Ice Cream Pie topped with Soywhip and Carmel Sauce

I could not have hoped for a more decadent, delicious replica of my favorite dessert. This was pure HEAVEN!!! It is exactly as I remember.....only dairy free.

You can certainly make this soy free by using almond milk, be careful what milk you choose to use or it will not be creamy enough.  Do not use rice milk, flax milk, oat milk or any other light milk.  Hemp milk will work as well as almond milk.

I must note that the soywhip was melting because we had just topped it with hot carmel but I think you can see how absolutely fabulous this pie was!!
This ice cream recipe is so amazing it is actually firm like you find in grocery store ice cream. It is rich, chocolatey and as creamy as ice cream can possibly be!! You do not want to miss this recipe. This ice cream can be made into your favorite flavor. Strawberry, Peach, Vanilla, Butter Pecan, you name it.

Vegan Burnt almond Fudge Ice Cream Recipe

The new May/June recipe collection will have some amazing recipes. Hot out of The Peaceful Kitchen last night:

Also a delicous, low fat Blueberry scone recipe!
